“Very Sad Days”- Lionel Messi Heartbroken With Earthquake Victims

Lionel Messi, the current star of PSG, is arguably the greatest soccer player of all time and has won almost every trophy he has competed for.

Lionel Messi has recently posted on Instagram amid concerns for the citizens of Turkey and Syria and trying to gather aid for the victims.

On February 6, 2023, a massive earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 on the Richter Scale hit Turkey and Syria.

Reportedly 35,000 people were killed because of the earthquake and many people are still buried under the debris.

Lionel Messi the Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF used his reach to get people to donate for helping the victims of the country.

Messi wrote, “These are very sad days for the thousands of children and their families affected by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

Apart from Messi, Merih Demiral, a Turkish International soccer player, sold the signed jersey of his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in order to raise funds.

Soon other soccer stars like Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar Jr, Erling Haaland, and Lionel Messi also sent their signed jerseys in order to raise funds.

Fans have appreciated this gesture of Lionel Messi for the victims and have started to call him both on-field and off-field hero.
