The best tennis player of all time, Serena Williams, and the first American to marry into the royal family in many years, Meghan Markle Their bond has stayed strong since their first actual hangout in 2014.
The two initially met in Miami during the 2010 Super Bowl, Markle said in her now-defunct blog, The Tig. It took some time for their friendship to grow.
"We bonded right away, taking pictures, giggling during the flag football game we were both competing in, and talking about everything girly instead of tennis or acting. Thus, our friendship began since 2014" said Meghan.
Williams receives a Twitter congratulations from Markle for winning the US Open in September 2014, and their connection develops.
"We are both the same age, enjoy hot sauces, and love fashion, but what unites us beyond those things is certainly our conviction that we can exceed expectations, our limitless ambition," remarked Meghan.
"She'll make a fantastic mother. The best because she is so good at finding the perfect balance between strength and sensitivity," prior to Olympia Williams' birth, Markle spoke to Vogue.
When Markle began dating Prince Harry, Williams responded to her question about how to handle the pressures of fame and the media. "You must be who you are, Meghan. You can't hide." I advised her.
The first person to appear on Meghan Markle's podcast was Serena Williams. When Markle questioned her about why she agreed to host the podcast, she said "I love you. I have faith in you. We've known each other for so long. You already know how loyal I am."
