Former two-time champion T.J. Dillashaw has been facing the heat since his championship bout against Aljamain Sterling at the co-main event at UFC 280.

Dillashaw got knocked out in the second round of the fight. He was completely dominated by the current champion Sterling.

Since Sterling's first takedown within the first minute of the fight, it was clear that Dillashaw was not 100% fit and was visibly in pain.

Dillashaw revealed right after the fight that he has been dealing with the dislocation since April this year. This disappointed fight fans with some arguing that he should not have accepted the fight.

Former fighter and sports broadcaster Jimmy Smith didn't hold back his disappointment with Dillashaw's performance calling it a con job.

"He was too injured to perform. That’s a con job. You lied your way into that fight and it’s unfair and it’s unprofessional", Smith said in his show.

Aljamain Sterling's title defence has left fans again with questions regarding his belt, due to the lack of challenge from Dillashaw.

Sterling became champion after former champ Yan was disqualified for an illegal knee in the title fight in March last year. Sterling then beat Yan via split decision in a rematch earlier this year.
