UFC Legend Supports Kanye West Amid Recent Controversy

MMA legend Jake Sheilds has come out in support of American rapper Kanye West amid his recent controversies.

Former UFC welterweight contender, and champion in multiple promotions, recently replied to a tweet related to the controversy.

Media house Variety tweeted, "Should Kanye West's music be banned?" to which Jake Sheild replied, “No music should ever be banned”.

Shields is very active on social media and vocal about his views on society. It is clear that he believes in artistic liberty and expression.

The American rapper has been in the limelight due to his issues related to hate speech. Kanye was condemned for wearing a T-shirt saying "White Lives Matter" at Yeezy Paris Fashion Week on Oct. 3.

Ye's then also posted some comments on Instagram which were considered to be anti-jewish, which led to suspension his account due to a violation of their rules and guidelines.

On Oct 19, via Financial time Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel encouraged several of Ye’s business partners such as Apple and Spotify to halt their business with him.

Forbes has reported that Ye has also lost his billionaire status after Adidas dropped his deal sighting that the company does not tolerate hate speech.
