Bronny James, son of  NBA icon LeBron faced frightening adversity this Monday. Bronny was rushed to the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest while he was in a workout session.

The 18-year-old was rendered unconscious when he was rushed to the ER. He suffered the heart attack around 9:30 a.m. at USC’s Galen Center. As per reports, he is currently in stable condition.

People across the world have their own theories about what may have caused the cardiac arrest at such a young age, from side effects of COVID vaccination to trauma or burnout.

According to Sonnen, the possible reason behind James's condition was his use of performance-enhancing drugs, here EPO (erythropoietin) in this particular case.

"If you do not properly monitor your EPO use, you can experience cardiac arrest and die in your sleep", tweeted the former Bellator competitor Sonnen on Friday night, hinting towards James.

"If you monitor your EPO use, but you combine it with testosterone, you have a whole other set of problems in front of you. Hoping we can chalk this up to ‘lesson learned.'"

Erythropoietin, also known as EPO, is a Steroid that stimulates Red Blood Cell production, which increases the supply of oxygen and, as a result, increases the performance of athletes' muscles.

While the comment from Sonnen may seem quite controversial, it is a known fact that Sonnen reportedly indulged in PEDs during his active years. Yet it doesn't make it any less controversial.
