UFC Judges Ruined Dominick Reyes' Career, How Jon Jones' Loss Changed Everything

Jon Jones, the GOAT of MMA, is technically undefeated in his career. However, Jones almost lost his perfect record to Dominick Reyes at UFC 247.

It was the closest fight in Jon Jones' career. But, in the end, the judges gave the decision in the favor of Jones.

Many fans believe that Dominick Reyes did enough to win the first three rounds against Jon Jones in their title fight.

The loss against Jon Jones changed the trajectory of Dominick Reyes' UFC career.

Reyes would go on to lose against Jan Blachowicz and Jiri Prochazka in brutal fashion in his next two fights.

In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, Dominick Reyes said that had he won against Jon Jones his UFC career would have been completely different now.

“It could all be different. It could all be so different right now. I did win that fight with Jon, but if I did get the nod — or however you want to say it — and I’m the champ, who knows? Maybe I don’t fight Jan, maybe I fight someone else. It all could be so different. I should be in a completely different situation right now,” - Dominick Reyes

Dominick Reyes is still very young and can climb up the light heavyweight rankings with an emphatic octagon return.

But, it's needless to say that the judge's decision completely altered the legacy of Dominick Reyes.
