As the UFC laid it's feet in Paris, the former heavyweight champion, Ciryl Gane, faced Serghei Spivac in the main event and triumphed in a spectacular manner since his recent loss to Jon Jones.

Although Gane managed to win the match, another loss did occur to the heavyweight as his home in Nogent-sur-Marne was allegedly robbed while Gane was fighting in the Accor Arena.

As per reports, police discovered forced entry into Gane's residence, and items worth $166,000 USD were found missing, which included jewelry and a Rolex watch.

A new development in the robbery has emerged from the French newspaper "Le Parisian", as they revealed that a member of Ciryl Gane's own companions might have planned the robbery.

The report also claimed that a 'close source' to the case might have speculated that someone close to Gane may have given the thieves a heads-up over the fighter's schedule to help in the burglary.

Although the investigation is still in it's initial stages, the specific details are still unknown. Gane is not the first fighter to have encountered a robbery.

Gane's previous rival, the heavyweight champion Jon Jones, had once chased down a burgler who attempted to enter the garage and steal one of his cars.

Not long ago, UFC president Dana White's vacation home in Maine was targeted by someone who was later arrested and identified as Brady Cooper.
