The news that veteran UFC fighter Clay Guida lied about retiring in order to get a post-fight interview at UFC Kansas City shocked the mixed martial arts community .

Guida's actions have angered UFC President Dana White and sparked debate over the morality of such a move. Dana claimed that Guida's practical joke at UFC Kansas City had him fuming.

In the main event of UFC Kansas City, Clay Guida was defeated by Rafa Garcia by unanimous decision . Contrary to initial expectations, the battle turned out to be very competitive.

After the fight, Clay Guida proceeded to take his gloves off in the octagon, which is a sign that the fighter is calling it quits. This led Daniel Cormier to approach Guida to announce his retirement.

But it was revealed by Clay Guida himself that the scene was a prank, and he took off his gloves just to exchange them with the winner of the match, Rafa Garcia.

Guida mentioned, "I tricked you guys. There ain’t no way I’m walking away yet. I want to congratulate this young man, Rafa Garcia." He ended the segment by wishing his mother on her birthday.

Guida's way of wishing a happy birthday was not really liked by the president, as he mentioned, "That pissed me off actually, to be honest with you," while reacting to Guida's fakeout.

Dana further stated, "He’s a nice guy, but you’re faking your retirement so you can say f****** happy birthday to somebody." It was clear that Guida has damaged his reputation in front of Dana.
