WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels was reportedly paid $3 Million for his in-ring return at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia in 2018.

Michaels teamed up with his friend and tag team partner Triple H and defeated the legendary team of The Undertaker and Kane at the show.

Many fans felt that the match was one of the worst ever matches produced by the WWE after all 4 legends made several botches throughout the match.

WWE legend Kurt Angle spoke about Shawn Michaels' return to the ring and admitted that he wasn't surprised to hear the amount that the company paid for the Hall of Famer.

"Wow! You know what? I'm not a WWE lifer; Shawn is. So, his loyalty is still with the WWE, and they pay them very well for it,"  Angle said. (h/t: Sportskeeda)

The former Olympic Gold medalist also said that if he is given a similar offer to make his return to the ring then he will definitely accept it without thinking twice.

Angle in the past has worked in Saudi shows for the WWE but he wasn't paid huge amounts of money for the matches as he was booked in midcard matches at the shows.

WWE has reportedly been bought by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and it'll be interesting to see if the new regime will bring any of the legends back to the company.
