WWE is reportedly planning to bring in more money to the promotion by taking a leaf out of the UFC's books and monetizing their ring assets.

WWE CEO Nick Khan during the WWE Q4 earnings call revealed that the company is planning to sign deals with sponsors to monetize assets like ring aprons, turnbuckles, steel steps, mats, etc.

"Yes, to your question about monetizing the ring assets. It’s something we’re taking a deep dive into now and that we want to do." Nick Khan said. (H/T: RingSideNews)

This could mean that fans will be able to see the logos of famous brands on WWE TV similar to how other companies like The UFC and NJPW are doing.

Nick Khan also said that he will speak with the Creative team to see if they can accommodate the sponsors in the program before signing big-money sponsorship deals with the companies.

The Stamford-based promotion during the recent Royal Rumble Premium Live Event signed similar deals with big names like Applebee's and Mountain Dew to sponsor the shows.

While Applebee’s sponsored the Rumble countdown clock, Mountain Dew sponsored the "Pitch Black" match between Bray Wyatt and LA Knight.

WWE has already signed a deal for a similar sponsored match for the upcoming WrestleMania 39 show. It looks like the entire presentation of the WWE is set to change under Triple H moving forward.
