Triple H Introduces the New World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Raw.

Since its inception, WWE has only had the WWE Championship; the World Heavyweight Championship was created as a result of the division of RAW and SmackDown into separate broadcasts.

Randy Orton unified the World Heavyweight Championship and WWE Championship on December 15, 2013, and the World Heavyweight Championship was retired. Now, it seems to be reborn.

It's understandable that WWE wants to have titles on both brands, and this was the reason to introduce the WWE Universal Championship in 2016 while keeping the title for competition on RAW.

Once again, Triple H announced the revival of the World Heavyweight Championship recently on RAW. The title is set to be given to a full-time world champion amid Roman Reigns` reduced schedule.

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns' title reign has lasted over 1,000 days, resulting in far fewer appearances from the promotion's top champion than at any time in modern history.

It was further announced by Triple H that Reigns can take the Universal Championship to whichever brand drafts him, and the new World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned at the Night of Champions.

Triple H declared that the new World Heavyweight Champion would be a respected and admired champion who would defend the title anywhere, any place, any time, all over the world.

Many superstars have expressed their desire to win the World Heavyweight Title, including SmackDown Women`s Champion Rhea Ripley, who retweeted a fan`s post of her holding both titles.
