The 2022 FIFA world cup has been a treat for the eyes. This edition will be remembered for some major upsets like Japan beating Spain and Germany etc.
Portugal was also one of the victims of the pattern of being beaten by less accomplished teams/underdogs. Morocco defeated the 2016 EURO champions by 1:0.
There was a lot of buzz after the game, As expected the Moroccon fans were over the moon, and rightly so as Morocco was the first African team to feature in Semifinals.
After the game, There were a lot of interviews with the Moroccan fans to get their reaction to the historic victory. Amongst all the other interactions, one interview with a young Moroccan fan got viral.
During the interview, she said, “Portugal airport is that way. And where’s Ronaldo? He’s crying in his car. Poor Ronaldo.”
In retaliation, Ronaldo fans heavily criticized the youngster for her insensitive opinion of Ronaldo and schooled her regarding sportsman spirit.
The trolling went too far, and after a limit, the mother of the young Moroccan fan was obliged to give a public apology to Ronaldo and his fans on behalf of her daughter.
The mother stated that her daughter is going through a tough phase and has not eaten since the fans lashed out at her, She requested the fan club to cut her some slacks as her daughter is naive.
