Top 5 NBA Teams for Kyrie Irving If Not Dallas Mavericks

Kyrie Irving has been one of the most prominent players since being a part of the Cleveland Cavaliers alongside LeBron James and later with the Brooklyn Nets alongside Kevin Durant.

As Kyrie will be an unrestricted agent, there have been speculations all over the NBA suggesting the possible teams of Kyrie Irving's trade join his former teammates.

Circled Dot

The first option is the Lakers, with both Kyrie and LeBron showing their interest in joining together and playing for the same team after the Cavaliers. Besides, D'Angelo Russell became a free agent.

The second is the Pheonix Suns, who felt a bit short against the Nuggets. Kyrie's trade to the Suns will join him with his former teammate Durant and a probable trade for Chris Paul.

There is also a probability of Kyrie joining the Mavericks who are yet to sign an extension contract, but the chances are less as the pairing of him and Luka couldn't work out for the team's benefit.

Houston Rockets have been a decent team with a good history alongside James Harden, but with no such experienced player on the team, Kyrie has been kept as an option if Harden does not make a return.

Another L.A. team on the list is the Clippers, with their point guard becoming an unrestricted free agent this season. Kyrie joining the team could be a good start or the same as the Mavericks.

The Chicago Bulls are also eyeing the All-Star, with Lonzo Ball missing out for the next season because of knee surgery. The trade would be an interesting one but at a huge cost.

Besides this, the Atlanta Hawks and San Antonio Spurs are also considering a possible trade for Kyrie Irving. Only time will tell which team he gets traded to or chooses to remain with the Mavericks.
