The former UFC women's flyweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko, is preparing to go up against the current champion, Alexa Grasso, at UFC Noche to claim the title once again.
As Shevchenko is gearing up to face Grasso for the second time since her previous defeat at UFC 285, Valentina seems motivated to get sweet revenge this time.
Although Shevchenko has been a phenomenal fighter in the octagon, with consecutive title defenses in her last eight fights, let us check out five of her greatest fights.
#5: At the first event with a packed crowd after COVID restrictions were lifted, Shevchenko delivered a promising defeat to Jessica Andrade at UFC 265 where she KO'ed Andrade with elbows.
#4: Shevchenko's reign as the flyweight champion started when she defeated the then-flyweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk while dominating the whole bout and winning via unanimous decision.
#3: The first main event of Shevchenko's career was with Holly Holm in 2016, which was a huge success as she defeated Holm via decision since both the fighters were coming off losses.
#2: The showdown with the former champion, Amanda Nunes, at UFC 196 was a brutal battle. Although Nunes defeated Shevchenko via decision, Shevchenko did deliver a promising performance.
