Carlos, who idolizes Nadal, has been the talking point in the tennis world for quite some time.
These two have competed two times before where Nadal was victorious on both occasions.
However, since then a lot has changed as Carlos has been breathing fire on the court.
Nadal has seemingly accepted that Carlos Alcaraz is better than him.
Nadal had this to say about Carlos ahead of their encounter at the Madrid Open.
In response, Carlos said “Even though he says that I’m the favorite, that he’s not fit enough, that he comes from an injury, you always have to think of Rafa as the favorite.”
Nadal and Alcaraz's head to head record now stands at 2-1.
