The Rock Agrees to Buy $6.89 Billion WWE From Vince McMahon?

WWE founder Vince McMahon recently made his return to the WWE as the Executive Chairman of the Board and made several changes behind the scenes.

According to reports, The reason behind Vince McMahon's return to the company is to negotiate a new TV deal and to sell his billion-dollar worth company.

There were several rumors about WWE's potential new owners as many people thought that Saudi Arabia's PIF was going to buy the company but it was later revealed that the rumors were false.

One name that's linked with buying WWE is former WWE Champion and Hollywood megastar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who is one of the richest actors in Hollywood.

In a recent interview with CNBC, The Rock spoke about WWE's potential sale and he stressed that the new owner should have passion for the product.

"The fan base is very large and very passionate and there’s nothing like the WWE. if there are new owners, I think they have to share that same passion for the company" he said. (h/t: Sportskeeda)

From the interview, it feels like The Rock won't be buying the Stamford-based promotion as he is already busy with several other projects and business ventures.

Fans are now keeping a close eye on the legend's schedule as he is rumored to make his return to the WWE and face his cousin Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 39.
