CM Punk left the WWE in 2014. He walked out of the company the night after the Royal Rumble PPV, citing various grievances with WWE management and creative direction.

Recently, CM Punk made a surprise visit to Monday Night Raw in Chicago. Fans were shocked to see him back in the WWE arena; this visit sparked rumors of Punk potentially returning to WWE.

During his visit, Punk reportedly had conversations with several wrestlers, including clearing the air with The Miz and briefly speaking with Paul "Triple H" Levesque.

As more details emerged, it was clear that Punk was just there to visit. He flew with WWE talent from Florida, and he found out the venue for RAW was in Chicago, close to his home.

He arrived at the venue with other WWE stars, got into the building, and remained in the common area in full view of anyone who walked by. He was never in a private room.

According to the reports, Punk asked Triple H's permission to be there and talk with the wrestlers. Triple H allegedly said he had to make sure with the "big guy" a reference to Vince McMahon.

The initial reaction within WWE was disbelief that he was there, except for those who saw him. Some WWE talent thought it was weird that he was there, but he was asked to leave relatively quickly.

It doesn't seem like Punk is trying to return to WWE as he is still under contract with AEW, and recently, it was confirmed that CM Punk is returning to AEW on June 17 for the new "Collison Show."
