After the 2022 US Open, Serena Williams announced her retirement from tennis, after an accomplished on-court career.

Serena Williams made a point of thanking Venus Williams, her sibling who is elder, she claimed that if it weren't for Venus, she wouldn't have developed into the icon that she is.

Two of the top players who have lifted the bar to a completely new level have a relationship like this.

Despite the fact that they are sisters, they have frequently competed against one another on the court.

Serena and Venus have faced off 31 times in the past two decades, with Serena winning 19 of the matches while Venus won 12 of them.

Serena, who was eight weeks pregnant, captured her 23rd and last Grand Slam in the 2017 Australian Open.

Serena talked about Venus and stressed how hard her sister worked while she was away from tennis following the birth of her first child.

She claimed that anytime Venus began to lose, she would become very depressed, which would annoy Serena and cause a decline in Serena's play.
