Tennis Legend Reveals How LeBron's Mindset Helped Him Succeed

22-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic asserts that he can relate to LeBron James' mentality of believing that you are the best and reveals how this mentality helped him succeed.

Djokovic believes that there is nothing arrogant about this mindset if you are respectful to your opponents and to the sport.

Before surpassing Kareem, LeBron claimed that he was the best basketball player who ever played the game. "What I bring to the table as a basketball player I feel like I’m the best basketball player that ever played the game. That’s just my confidence. But as far as if the scoring record gets me to another level, I don’t know," said James.

Djokovic admits that adapting this mindset of self-belief and confidence has allowed him to become one of the greatest players of all time.

Novak revealed that he always enters his matches believing that he is the better player and that he can defeat any opponent on any surface.

"Yes, I can relate to that because I believe that what worked for me and still works for me is that self-belief and confidence level," said Djokovic relating to LeBron's mentality.

He further continued, "But just self-belief that, hey, I know that when I’m ready, when I’m there out on the court, on any surface, against anybody, I’m better, I’m the best,".

Djokovic went on to congratulate LeBron James on passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA's all-time leading scorer, calling him a great role model and example to all the young guys.
