Ranked No. 14 by the ATP, 37-year-old Rafael Nadal of Spain is one of the most dominant players alongside Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

With an all-time record of 14 French Open titles, his record for the 15th one is missed as the player is unfit to play this year. Rafael has won 112 of the total 115 matches at the French Open.

However, fans of the tennis legend will be disheartened as their idol has withdrawn himself from Roland Garros due to sustained pain from the last Australian Open.

Struggling with a hip injury from the Australia Open in January, the tennis star will be ruled out for some months. Besides this, the legend stated his probable retirement for the next year.

Rafa said in an interview,- "I'm still in the position where I am not able to feel ready to compete at the standards I need to be to play at Roland Garros."

He futher said, "My goal and ambition is to try to stop and give myself an opportunity to enjoy the next year and say goodbye to all the tournaments that have been important for me.'

Besides this, his participation at Wimbledon this year also remains in big doubt, foreseeing his current condition making his fourth appearance since 2005, 2008, and 2010.

The tennis legend is currently keeping his health and personal happiness a priority. He is, however, planning and preparing to win his 15th French Open title in Paris next year.
