Memphis Grizzlies star player Ja Morant's 25-game suspension official verdict for the second gun incident is currently a topic of discussion more than the NBA Finals.

With the news of Morant's suspension circulating all over the world, the NBA has had a list of the top 5 longest suspensions, each with a different case.

The player with the fewest 38-game suspensions on the list is Lakers Javaris Crittenton. The first suspension was charged with misdemeanor gun possession, and the second with murder charges.

The next one is a 50-game suspension of former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas for the same incident of gun possession in the locker room as Javaris by violating the NBA rules and regulations

Latrell Sprewell who was drafted in 1992 by Golden State Warriors got into a heated argument with head coach P.J. Carlesimo that led to choking his head resulting in a suspension of 68 games in 1997.

NBA championship winner with the Lakers in 2010, Metta Sandiford Artest was suspended for 86 games in 2004 for getting into a fight with a fan who threw a water bottle at him causing a big havok.

Carrying the highest number of suspensions with 164 games is No. 3 draft pick O.J. Mayo of the Memphis Grizzlies. His suspension started with a steroid test for 10 games and a drug violation case in 2016.

These suspensions have, however, been some of the most speculated ones in the history of the NBA, adding Morant's case to the list.
