During the 2015 NBA finals between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, Stephen Curry was the biggest threat to Cleveland.

Kyrie Irving, who was guarding Steph, got injured during game 1, and Matthew Dellavedova was put into the lineup.

He held Curry to 17 points, and he restricted him to just 19 points. Curry was 0-8 when he was guarded by Delly and 0-5 from three-point range. Dellavedova was a hero to everyone after this match.

Due to his outstanding performance in the previous game, Dellavedova was asked to guard Steph again during Game 3. Unfortunately, this time he was unable to guard Steph. After the game, Dellavedova was absent for the post-game press conference.

Later on, it was found out that he had been taken to the hospital. He was diagnosed with severe dehydration and cramps, which were the result of guarding Stephen Curry.

"He competed harder than anybody I have ever seen in my life. He was literally about to die in the playoffs, like literally. Like we in the back after the game like Steph almost killed this man" J.R. Smith said of Matthew Dellavedova postgame.

Although Dellavedova was taken to the hospital, he guarded Steph with everything he had and added a few points, which helped Cleveland get the rebound.

Afterwards, Delly did return for game 4 and played till the end of the series. However, in the end, the Warriors managed to win the championship thanks to Curry's marvelous performance.
