The sudden, unexpected loss of former NBA superstar Kobe Bryant due to the tragic helicopter crash saddened numerous people all across the world.

Bryant died in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. Bryant, his daughter Gigi Bryant, 13, and seven other people lost their lives in the disaster.

O'Neal was one of the few who was notably horrified and sheerly shocked as the larger collective mourned Kobe's unexpected death mostly because of the way they were connected with each other.

Shaquille O'Neal was asked in an interview what he would write in a fictitious email to Kobe Bryant, to which he gave an unusual reaction. However, Shaq also offered a logical explanation for his decision.

Shaq disclosed the write-up: “What’s up?...... That’s it. Cos I know who he is. I know his family. He was with me from 18 to what, 26? Just hi. I know a lot of times we have a lot going on, and we forget the simplest things…I wish I would’ve just, hey man, how you doing? What’s up?”

Although Shaq and Kobe shared a good relationship at the time of Bryant's death, they previously had a bitter rivalry due to their disparities on the court. Nevertheless, the two reconciled after they both retired.

Since Kobe's demise a year ago, the four-time NBA champion Shaquille O'Neal has spoken often and favourably of his interactions with the Black Mamba.

Shaq had, however, finally shared the message he would share with his old teammate given the chance to do so, which reflects their genuine relationship.
