Gerard Pique and Shakira were once one of the most celebrated and cherished couples in the soccer fraternity. Their bubbly nature and charm were unmatched by the others.
However, their relationship came to a bitter end as the couple decided to split up after the revelation of Pique's affair.
Pique and Shakira in a joint statement said, "We regret to confirm that we are separating. For the well-being of our children, who are our top priority, we ask for respect for our privacy. Thank you for your understanding.”

It seemed that the ex-couple might be again in touch after the reports of Clara Chia being unhappy with her relationship with Pique following some privacy breaches.
However, the chances of their reunion seem fragile as of now as a cryptic message came up on the internet by Shakira which hinted that she still hasn't forgiven The former Barcelona defender.
Shakira wrote on Instagram, “Even if someone has betrayed us, we have to keep trusting. In the face of contempt, keep valuing yourself. Because there are more good people than bad people. More empathetic people than indolent people”
She further added, “There are fewer who leave and more who stay by our side. Our tears are not a waste, they water the soil where the future will be born and make us more human, so in the midst of heartbreak, we can continue to love.”
