According to Sponsor United, Serena Wlliams and Naomi Osaka who made the most money in 2022 stopped being the top earners.

With $3 million in earnings, Alex Morgan is listed as the highest-paid female athlete. Morgan has entered into 27 contracts with prestigious companies including Google, Coca-Cola, and AT&T.

She earns money from endorsement deals in addition to her salary as a professional football player.

Naomi Osaka topped Forbes' list of the highest-paid female athletes in 2021, earning $57.3 million before taxes. Williams was paid $45.9 million for his achievements on and off the field.

Serena has worked with several well-known companies during her career, including Nike, Wilson, Intel, Lincoln Motor Company, and many more. Female athletes have always had to fight for what they're worth in terms of institutional salaries or sponsorships.

Speaking about her next, i.e. Serena Ventures, she told Vogue earlier this month, that the investment firm has now funded 16 companies valued at $1 billion or more, and that 78 percent of its portfolio is made up of companies started by women or people of color.
