Serena Williams had announced before the US Open that she will soon retire from her professional tennis career and will focus more on her family.
Serena started the tournament on a very high note and slowly became one of the favorite contenders to clinch the Grand Slam title.
However, every fan's dream of witnessing Serena lift her 24th Grand Slam title came to an end as she got knocked out by Ajla Tomljanovic in the third round.
After the match, she had told that this was the most beautiful journey of her career and she was grateful to everyone who supported her during her career.
Recently few weeks after the tournament, Serena attended Jimmy Fallon's chat show where he revealed her plans about her tennis career.
When asked if she would change her decision, hinting at her comeback Serena replied, "Tom Brady started an amazing trend. That's what I want to say."
After the 2021 NFL season, Tom Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, announced his retirement from the sport at the age of 44.
However, this decision didn't last long as just after 40 days Brady took a U-turn and announced that he is returning to take part in the next NFL season.
