Serena Williams Gets Baptized After Retirement From Tennis

After the 2022 US Open, Serena Williams announced her retirement from tennis, after an accomplished on-court career.

After suffering a heartbreaking loss against Ajla Tomljanovic in the US Open the all time champion announced her retirement from the sport.

Some reports suggested that she used her time away from the sport studying about her religion and she also expressed her desire to embrace Jehovah's Witness.

The  23-time Grand Slam singles champion, has been recently reported to be baptized as Jehovah's witness which was a life-changing event for the champ.

The Jehovah's Witness Assembly happened in West Palm Beach, Florida, where the baptism took place. A Tweet by @RealMoshudKarim has revealed the ceremony.

I value my Jehovah's Witness status, but I haven't truly lived up to it despite wanting to. - Serena had earlier stated in a Vogue interview.

Williams may not have been the focus of recent tennis headlines, but she is still making headlines after endorsing her friend Meghan Markle.

The Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, were recently featured in a Netflix fly-on-the-wall documentary been at the center of a contentious split with the Royal Family.
