Ronda Rousey Ready to Make MMA Return Only to Fight Gina Carano

Ronda Rousey has loosen her ties with MMA for some time now.

The former UFC Champion fought last in the octagon in 2016 and joined WWE following her exit from UFC.

Rousey recently revealed her plans to return to MMA on The Kurt Angle Show, only at one condition -

WWE superstar revealed that her dream matchup will be against Gina Carano and that she'll only consider MMA again if she gets to fight the pioneer.

“There’s only one person I would come back for, “I’ve said it a million times, it’s not like it’s something new but for Gina, Gina Carano. She’s the reason why I got into fighting, she’s the reason why I knew it was a possibility. I will always be forever grateful.”

“It’s a respect thing, not like a, ‘F*** you. I’m coming to get you.’ It’s just like, ‘Hey, if you ever wanna pull that card out, it’s there.’ I love her. Thank you Gina for everything you’ve done.” -Rousey added

Both Rousey and Gina are considered pioneers of the women's mainstream MMA.

Ronda Rousey went against Liz Carmouche in the very first women's fight in UFC at UFC 157, back in 2012.

Carano, on the other hand, preceded Rousey and was the first female martial artist to headline in a big women MMA fight card.

The fight between the two has been discussed a few times in the past but never came to fruition. Do you want to see Rousey vs Carano?
