On Saturday night, there was an unusual scene in the midst of the boxing match- Gervona Davis vs Hector Luis Garcia.

The fight had to be stopped in the middle of the 8th round due to a scuffle that went ringside at the Capital One Arena in Washington DC. This led to several controversies among fans.

Saturday had turned into Sunday morning by the time Gervonta "Tank" Davis plunked his way to another victory, stopping Hector Luis Garcia in the ninth.

The fights lasted beyond 1 am and famous rapper Meek Mill was partially blamed for the late finish because the fight had an unusual mid-round timeout in the 8th round, when Garcia and Davis were both distracted by a tussle in the audience.

According to Marcos Villegas of Fight Hub, Meek Mill engaged in a fight with Gary Russell Jr, a pro boxer, and his entourage, and Davis and Gary Russell don’t get along well.

Mike Coppinger, ESPN boxing insider tweeted: "There's a dispute in the crowd at ringside and the referee paused the fight because of it in Round 8. Seen many fights in the crowd over year but never seen action paused by ref."

Meek Mill tweeted: "Congratulations tankkk!!! I almost fought a boxer telling him this fight not going 12 rounds I missed the big bomb!!!!"

One fan tweeted in reply: "You was about to get slaughtered," sharing the video of him attempting to do boxing. Another fan said: "Would've saw real dreams and nightmares messing with them boxers." While another fan made fun of Meek asking him not to try fighting with anyone.
