The Swiss great, Roger Federer, who is one of the greatest athletes of all time has recently announced that he is retiring from tennis.
Not just the people who love tennis but the whole world is heartbroken after Roger Federer announced this shocking news.
Many celebrities, rivals, and fans have expressed their feelings regarding this on various platforms. However, among them was none other than Rafael Nadal.
Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, the two greatest rivals, have shared some of the greatest moments in the whole sporting world.
Aside from their many intense rivalries on the court, both of them have immense respect and share a strong bond off the court for many years.
Even Nadal couldn't hold back after knowing that Federer has announced his retirement. Nadal shared a few heartwarming words for him on social media.
He said, "Dear Roger, my friend, and rival. I wish this day would have never come. It's a sad day for me personally and for sports around the world."
However, the good news is that fans will be able to see the two greats in action together in the upcoming Laver cup which will be Federer's last tournament.
