According to Tristan Thompson, the former player of Cleveland Cavaliers and also a teammate to Kyrie Irving, Kyrie is interested in reuniting with LeBron James.
Following Irving's request for a trade away from the Brooklyn Nets, the Lakers have been mentioned as one of his prospective destinations.
Thompson also mentioned on SportsCenter that he texted Kyrie about a potential reunion with James and that he felt that the veteran guard is willing to consider it.
Although Kyrie Irving ignored Thompson's message, the fugitive star saw it and added a heart emoji.
LeBron James tweeted an eye and a crown emoji in response to Kyrie Irving's earlier plea for a trade.
While he remained silent, it is obvious that he was referring to Irving and his likely departure from the Nets and move to the Lakers. However, he was comically accused of tampering by Kyle Kuzma.
Thompson said: “Yeah, he put a heart emoji, so I know he read it … Like I said: The band broke up a couple years too early, let’s get it back together,” about LeBron's message to Irving.
Thompson futher added: “This is what we need. One thing about LeBron, he brings the best out of Kyrie, and Kyrie brings the best out of LeBron. … They need each other and it’s a perfect marriage.”
