Cristiano Ronaldo had to go through a lot of obstacles and has faced some serious personal and professional issues.

Ronaldo also had one of the worsts world Cups of his career as he only scored 1 goal and also got knocked out by an underdog team.

Amidst the early world cup exit saga, Ronaldo's future seemed gloomy and many question marks were raised on whether any club wanted to invest in players like Ronaldo who is in the final lap of his career.

However, the year 2022 ended with a glimmer of hope for Ronaldo as he got invited to play for the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr for a hefty sum of money.

Al-Nassr and Ronaldo joined hands for the record signing of $214 million for 2.5 years which shook the footballing fraternity as they did not expect CR7 to end his career with a club that will inhibit him from playing UCL.

Netizens brought out many old clips that contradict Ronaldo's actions and his words as he has claimed many times that he would never go after money and that he will always play with dignity.

In an interview, Ronaldo said," You think money gonna change my mind, I don't think so because if you speak about money I will go to Qatar, it's not about the money it's about the passion.

Many fans came to the rescue for Ronaldo as they commented, "He still choose to play..it's better than retire" and "He choose passion over retirement 🙌" which rightly so is fair on Ronaldo's behalf
