NBA Star Jamal Murray Fights With UFC Star Alexander Volkanovski

Securing a successful win at the 2023 NBA Finals, the Denver Nuggets are carving out their way in the league's history with their first championship title against the dominant Miami Heat.

Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray, with a highlighting performance in the NBA playoffs averaging 26.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game, is one of the prominent players this season.

The 6-foot-4 NBA champion was recently in the spotlight with his small fight against a sports personality belonging to a different industry, UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.

The two caught up together for a meetup in Alexander's training ground, with the NBA player lending over a new experience and learning new tips and tricks from the UFC champ.

The meetup was followed by a small matchup against the two with a supporting video released on Alexander's YouTube account, with Murray commenting, “You try to submit me in under a minute.”

Garnering quite speculation on the two champions reflecting their performances, the game however ended up portraying Murray's athleticism in terms of height and weight as having an advantage.

Starting his career in mixed martial arts in 2012, Alexander took his professional journey forward, signing up with the UFC in 2016 and changing from a lightweight to a featherweight fighter.

On the other hand, Nuggets player Jamal Murray, currently in the seventh season of his ongoing career, is coming off a great season, averaging 20 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game.
