French Star Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Plays His Last Match

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the French star, played against Casper Ruud in the first round of the French Open.

Tsonga couldn’t advance to the next round as he was knocked out.

The match was quite close and ended with a score of 6-7, 7-6, 6-2.

Earlier Tsonga had announced that this would be his last tournament.

Tsonga played his final match in front of his home crowd and family.

After the match, Tsonga broke down in tears.

The French officials paid tribute to the Frenchman.

In his farewell speech, he said, “I hope the world can soon find as much peace I found today. Thank you, Roland. Thank you, Mister Tennis.”

During his speech, the entire crowd stood up and applauded him.
