Shakira and Pique's fiasco was one of the most surprising and talked-about incidents of the year 2022 in the soccer domain.
The once-cherished couple had a messy end to their relationship when Gerard Pique was caught having an extramarital affair with his employee.
Jordi Martin was the one who revealed Pique's affair, which led to their breakup. Pique also lost child custody and had to let Shakira and the children fly to Miami.
Everyone thought that the turmoil was over and that both had moved on; however, Shakira's new song that dissed Pique and his family sparked the feud between the former couple.
The lyrics were directed at Pique for cheating on Shakira with Clara, as it had lines such as, "You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo, You traded a Rolex for a Casio".
Pique, in retaliation, flaunted his Casio watch during an interview. However, Shakira, on the eve of Valentine's Day, went below the belt to mock her ex.
The Colombian shared a reel featuring the song "Kill Bill," in which she is seen mopping her floor and lipsyncing, "I might kill my ex/Not the best idea/His new girlfriend’s next, how’d I get here?"
She further lip-synced, "I might kill my ex/I still love him though/Rather be in jail than alone/I did it all for love." While many fans believed that she went over the line this time, others backed her for trolling Pique.
