Michael Chandler will return to action in arguably the greatest fight of his UFC career as he takes on Conor McGregor at the conclusion of The Ultimate Fighter 31.

Chandler's last appearance inside the Octagon came against Dustin Poirier, where he dropped a third-round submission loss.

The loss marked Chandler's third in his five UFC appearances since making his UFC debut back in January, 2021.

Thick Brush Stroke

Ahead of his return to Ultimate Fighter, fellow lightweight and current UFC Champion Islam Makhachev believes, UFC will release Chandler.

"I think for Chandler, this fight is last fight for him. He gonna make money and that's it. He is gonna retire." Islam Makhachev said ahead of UFC 284.

Michael Chandler, despite some of the most exciting fights in the history of the UFC, has failed to pick up notable victories.

Safe to say, another loss to his name will likely hurt his stock, making him nothing more than an exciting fighter.

Do you think Michael Chandler will retire after the Conor McGregor fight? If so, does he leave the cage with a win to his name?
