Michael Chandler's Wife and Adopted Kid

Meet  Brie Willett  Hap Whitaker

Michael Chandler was the biggest name in the world of MMA outside of the UFC just a few months ago. While many doubted Chandler going into his UFC debut against rising contender Dan Hooker, the former two-time Bellator champion shut the critics as he picked up a scintillating KO win in the co-main event of UFC 257.

Michael Chandler tied the knots in the year 2014 and is married to Brie Willett. In a recent post on Instagram ahead of arguably his biggest fight of his UFC career, Chandler took to Instagram to thank his wife.

According to Brie Willett’s Instagram account, Chandler’s wife prefers to stay outside of media. She spends most of her time enjoying herself with her friends. Needless to say, Brie’s images with her son Hap Whitaker are adorable.

The former two-time Bellator champion revealed that while it took some time for him to warm himself with the idea of adopting a kid, Brie always wanted to adopt ever since she was a kid. Chandler stated that Willett’s early experience with orphan kids who wanted nothing but the home was the major motivation behind the huge step.

“We wanted a newborn to six months. He was nine months old. They sent us his picture, and as soon as I saw it I got this feeling inside of me, and I started tearing up. I was just like: ‘That’s my son.’

"There’s no way I’ll ever be able to make up for all the time spent away and all the selfless sacrifices you have made, but I promise to love you and serve you for a lifetime and beyond. I love you @briechandler (Brie Willett) - you’re my favorite thing about life...and as the song says, the spotlight is on me, but you’re the reason I shine."
