Making their mark in the WWE is every professional wrestler's dream. Some people turn their dreams into reality, and some fail to do so. However, making their way into WWE is only half of the work.

Many professional wrestlers happened to make multiple appearances inside the ring; however, WWE failed to recognize how to utilize them, resulting in the departure of these wrestlers from their dream company.

Lance Anoa'i is one such wrestler who wanted to work with WWE but couldn't fit into the company's roster as WWE failed to identify his expectations.

Anoa'i, the cousin of Roman Reigns, made multiple appearances in the WWE. In 2015, he teamed up with Rhett Titus against The Ascension on WWE SmackDown. He again appeared in the WWE when he faced Shane McMahon as part of Shane's feud with Roman Reigns.

While speaking on The Family business, the 30-year-old shared his multiple tryout experience in WWE and how he tried everything to fit within the company but failed as he didn't know what the company expected from him.

Anoa'i said, "I went to Orlando to the performance center three times. Every two years, around the same time, they invited me back. I was trying to figure out why they keep bringing me back, but I’m not getting that paper."

"I talked to William Regal, they wanted me to work on my promos, they wanted me to work on my body. So I just kept trying and I feel like I put on the weight. On my first tryout, I went in there at probably 155, 160 pounds. So then I put on weight, and the next one, I was 200, and then I’m 220." He continued.

"I never got a for-sure answer. I just kept doing the tryouts and coming right back on the indies, trying to keep making a name, changing the way I look, changing to a different work style, changing whatever way possible just to keep getting noticed," Anoa'i further added.
