The LA Lakers are not in the perfect situation to make the playoffs at the moment. Currently, the Lakers are 25-29 and sit in 12th place in the Western Conference. However, the season is not over yet, and there is a chance that the Lakers will make the playoffs.

LeBron James recently broke his silence with a tweet indicating his desire to reunite with former NBA champion Kyrie Irving.

Kyrie Irving wants to leave the Brooklyn Nets before next week's trade deadline, and it seems that the LA Lakers is the possible outcome. Irving reportedly has an interest in moving to the Lakers.

Recently, LeBron was asked by a reporter if Kyrie joining the Lakers would help them reach the playoffs. LeBron replied by saying, "Obviously, that’s a, the word you use, ‘duh’ question when you’re talking about a player like that."

Russell Westbrook is the possible replacement for Kyrie for the Nets, along with Los Angeles’ 2027 and 2029 first-round picks. Westbrook is already on the trade block, as the Lakers have reportedly engaged the Utah Jazz in talks about the All-Star guard.

James has been desperate for the Lakers to make moves in the trade market in order to increase their chances of entering the playoffs, and obtaining Kyrie would be a dream come true for LeBron as they have already won a championship together.

If the Nets fail to come to an agreement with another team, Irving is "prepared" to sit out the rest of the season.

LeBron is the only player who has ever successfully harnessed Irving's talent, which led to them winning the championship back in 2016, which had one of the most entertaining finals of all time.
