LeBron James collaborated with Sony to launch the limited edition accessories for PlayStation 5, which were co-designed by the NBA icon.
LeBron posted a video of the custom-made rendition of the gaming system along with a DualSense wireless controller on his Instagram, having fun with it.
James captioned his post: "Had fun with this one @playstation!! These words inspire me and my I Promise students, and I hope to do the same for gamers all over......"
The caption continues: "Still crazy to think a kid from Akron who grew up playing games is getting to create something like this!”
As per the PlayStation press release, LeBron has added his own distinctive touches to the accessories and hardware by decorating them with quotes and images that have been significant to him throughout his life.
The accessories consist of colorful inspirational quotes along with James' powerful messages that he follows, such as "I Promise", "nothing is given, everything is earned" and "build, uplift, empower."
However, the post got mixed reactions from some of his fans. Some praised the item while others did not like it. A fan commented: "I can tell he designed it because it’s bland and ugly."
Another fan commented: "Oh boy am I excited for my NBA Superstar and PlayStation PlayMaker LeBron James Special Edition PS5 Dualsense Controller and Console Covers to come in. Oh boy am I excited I love sports. Oh boy oh boy."
