Russell Westbrook has been traded by the Los Angeles Lakers to the Utah Jazz.

Before his trade on Thursday, Russell left in a 3-team, 8-player deal after two challenging seasons with the Lakers.

The LA Lakers who missed their playoffs last year are trying to save their season. They are currently in the 13th position in the Western Conference.

Point guard D'Angelo Russell, who began his career with the Lakers, was taken in the Westbrook deal from the Minnesota Timberwolves. In addition to him, the Jazz lost power forward Jarred Vanderbilt and guard Malik Beasley.

As part of a deal that also included the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets, the Lakers then continued their mid-season makeover by moving Patrick Beverly to the Orlando Magic in exchange for center Mo Bamba.

LeBron James missed the game with an ankle injury, but the Lakers still lost to the Bucks 115-106, showing that they need to make some significant changes.

On the other hand, Kevin Durant has been traded by the Brooklyn Nets to the Phoenix Suns, while Kyrie Irving has been traded to the Dallas Mavericks from the Brooklyn Nets.

TJ Warren has been acquired by the Suns, while Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and four first-round picks are given to the Nets. Whereas All-Star guards Chris Paul Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton also boast the Suns’ line-up.
