On Friday night, the Lakers continued their best stretch of the season, defeating the Sacramento Kings in a 136-134 victory.

There was a cutthroat competition in the game with 18 lead changes and 20 ties, but the Lakers won in the final seconds.

The victory moved the Lakers to 19-21 and the Lakers came up in 11th position in the Western Conference standings with Minnesota Timberwolves.

LeBron James scored 37 points, 7 assists, and 8 rebounds while Dennis Schroder had 27 points. Off the bench, Russell Westbrook had 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 15 assists, and Thomas Bryant continued his recent hot streak with 29 points and 14 rebounds.

After halftime, the Kings were giving an incredible performance, while the Lakers' best players Russell, LeBron, and Dennis, were responding to every Sacramento basket. However, James' driving layup in the final seconds of the quarter tied the game at 109.

With 48 seconds left, LeBron converted on a layup and received a foul call, fouling Sabonis. Sacramento Kings had control, but Dennis forced a turnover, giving the ball back to the Lakers.

Throughout the game, James seemed to be targeting Damontas Sabonis, who had 25 points, 7 assists, and 12 rebounds. Later, James purposely gave a foul call with teary eyes claiming that he was hit with the elbow.

Fox hit a game-tying basket with 6 seconds, remaining after Russell split a pair of free throws. Dennis went to the basket and was fouled with 3.6 seconds remaining, allowing the pair to wrap the victory when Fox, unfortunately, missed a 4th-quarter shot.
