LeBron James and his wife, Savannah, are one of the most loved couples among NBA fans. The two fell in love with each other when they were in high school.
LeBron had been lucky to marry his childhood sweetheart, Savannah Brinson. They had been dating each other since 2002 and ended up marrying in 2013. They have been together for almost 20 years now.
The adorable pair has a long history together since their high school days. Savannah worked as a cheerleader for James' rival high and didn't go to the same institution as James.
LeBron caught the attention of Savannah when he was just 17; he saw him on a cheerleading team during a football game at the same rival school.
The two chatted for a while, and James invited her to one of his basketball games, and she agreed. When she went, she was surprised to see LeBron’s basketball skills and how the fans cheered for him.
Though it was rumored that LeBron made the first move, Savannah confirmed that when their common friend came to her and said that James wanted her number, she refused and instead asked for his number.
Savannah said: “One day I’m sitting around—I was probably bored or something—and I’m like, ‘Oh, I forgot! I have this number for this guy that I can call. He seemed interested, so let’s see.’”
After that, they went to an Applebee’s restaurant with a group of friends, followed by a one-on-one date at Outback Steakhouse, where they had a basic conversation, thereby starting their love affair.
