Latest Update on NBA Star Andrew Wiggins' Mysterious Absence

The Golden State Warriors star Andrew Wiggins' has been absent for the past five games, and no explanation has been given as to his whereabouts.

Throughout the majority of his career, Wiggins has been a highly reliable player. In three different seasons (2015, 2017, and 2018), he has played every game, and each time, injuries have been the main reason he hasn't.

Warriors GM Bob Myers gave an update on Wiggins' during an interview with 95.7 The Game's "Steiny & Guru" show. However, he did not reveal the actual reason for his absence.

“I don’t think that’s what anybody is planning for. But we’ll leave that in its own place. That’s not the expectation. I think what you’re asking is – could he remain out for a long, long time? I don’t think that’s happening." he said.

Myers continued "I’m going to leave that alone. Hopefully when he gets back, whatever words he would like to say on it, which I don’t think will be much – it’s his private life – he will do.”.

Wiggins has averaged 17.1 points per game and 5.0 ppg on 47.3% shooting in 37 games, including a career-high 39.6% from 3-point range on 6.1 attempts.

The Warriors are presently fifth in the Western Conference with a 33-30 record, and both Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins are sitting out, putting all of the emphasis on Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson.

There is no word on when Andrew Wiggins will return, but there is a return date for when Steph Curry is coming back. The Warriors will hopefully be able to keep up until their stars return.
