The LA Lakers star LeBron James is moving up in his scoring records. James is just on the verge of surpassing the Lakers' legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's scoring record.

By the end of his 20-year career, Kareem had accrued 38,387 points. LeBron is also on track to break his record while competing in his 20th season, which is almost poetic.

For James, this achievement strengthens his already compelling argument for becoming the best of all time. The pursuit of his former teammate, though, implies completely different things to Kyrie Irving.

LA Lakers team was able to win their game very easily against the Brooklyn Nets. While Kyrie Irving failed to compete against LeBron during the game, but he spoke about James at his post-game press conference.

Irving acknowledged the greatness of James while appreciating the forthcoming milestone in LeBron's career.

Kyrie said that for as long as James plays, the NBA community should respect and honor him. However, he also added fans wouldn't be able to witness James' dominance for too long.

Kyrie Irving said about LeBron James:“[The NBA] gave the keys to the whole entire business to an 18-year-old kid and now he’s 38 years old and he’s still dominating."

Irving also said: "I don’t think we should be surprised. I think we should congratulate him and celebrate him as much as possible. Continue to enjoy the shows he continues to put on because it’s not going to be for too much longer”
