The 2022 FIFA world cup was a perfect entertainment package with all the necessary ingredients such as upsets, dramatic comebacks, and on and off-field rivalries.
It was a bittersweet tournament for the PSG star Kylian Mbappe as he was awarded the golden boot for his exceptional tournament however France lost to Argentina in the nail-biting final.
As the tournament concluded, There were a lot of emotions running in both camps and that led to a series of controversies that revolved around Emi Martinez and Kylian Mbappe.
During the dressing room celebrations, The Argentine Goalkeeper and Sergio Aguero were seen mocking French players that included Mbappe.
Later on, during the victory parade, Emiliano Martinez was witnessed holding a baby soft toy that had a Mbappe face attached to it for which he was criticized and schooled to have some decency.
Amidst the controversy, The French superstar had a very professional and mature take on the Martinez fiasco that showcases his sportsman spirit.
In a postmatch interview, he said, "Celebrations are not my problem,". "Don't waste energy on such futile things, the important thing for me is to give the best of myself for my club."
On the other hand, The PSG striker was also thrilled about this reunion with the world cup winner Lionel Messi. Mbappe stated that he was happy for his PSG teammate and he also congratulated Leo after the final.
