The sudden and unexpected loss of former NBA superstar Kobe Bryant due to the tragic helicopter crash that took place on January 26, 2020, saddened numerous people all across the world.
Vanessa Bryant, the wife of Kobe Bryant, was completely shaken by the mishap as she suffered a great loss. She was also unhappy with the fact that several pictures of the crash site were taken and circulated.
She chose to file a lawsuit against Los Angeles County for causing her mental distress, and she just recently reached a staggering $28.85 million settlement.
However, Vanessa’s recent activities have led to controversies among fans, as everyone felt that she doesn’t need any money but still filed the lawsuit completely out of greed.
Apart from such accusations against her, several controversies have also popped up regarding her secret signing of a contract with Nike to keep up the continuity of producing Kobe Bryant’s Nike shoes.
Many fans wondered why she never announced it publicly and immediately entered into the contract just after Kobe's death. However, she claimed that she had signed the deal in order to bring down the cost and increase accessibility for the general public.

However, fans were very dissatisfied to learn that she had received a settlement of $28.85 million for the circulation of the photographs of the helicopter accident site.
