UFC 279 fight week didn't go as planned for Khamzat Chimaev, last week he came under the limelight for actions that he completely regrets.
Khamzat had a heated argument against Paulo Costa at the UFC Performance Institute, which resulted in getting the press conference canceled.
However, the most embarrassing part which took the headlines was that Khamzat Chimaev missed his welterweight limit by 7.5 pounds.
As Khamzat Chimaev missed his welterweight limit, this means that the fight for which he was preparing against Nate Diaz will not go ahead as planned.
After this Tony Ferguson got the opportunity to lock horns with Nate Diaz and Khamzat got relegated to the co-main event and went on to battle Kevin Holland.
The fight against Khamzat Chimaev and Kevin Holland didn't last long as Kevin got beaten up by Khamzat in a very short period after the match began.
Even though after securing a win, fans weren't impressed by Khamzat and one fan decided to poke him by saying, "You didn’t make weight!” and started recording on his phone.
After hearing this, one of Chimaev's teammates got pissed and snatched the phone from the fan and slammed it on the floor in anger.
