Khamzat Chimaev decimated Kevin Holland in his last fight. The UFC welterweight secured an easy first-round submission win.

Despite missing the weight, Khamzat Chimaev made $2 million for beating Kevin Holland in the co-main event of UFC 279.

However, Khamzat Chimaev did not take home the $2 million dollar fight purse as he had to pay a lot of taxes.

In a recent interview with ESPN MMA, Khamzat Chimaev made a confession about the biggest fight purse of his UFC career.

"More money than all my fights. I never made that much money. But, I paid a lot of taxes as well."- Chimaev said about his UFC 279 fight purse

"Everyone is thinking like when you get $1 million you get $1 million but it's not even half of that."- Chimaev continued

UFC president, Dana White believes Khamzat Chimaev is the next big superstar after the Irish star Conor McGregor.

However, Chimaev will have to win the UFC title first before he achieves that level of stardom. Currently, Chimaev is aiming for a fight against Alex Pereira.
