After Conor McGregor made a fortune by boxing Floyd Mayweather, many UFC stars have tried to jump over to the boxing world.

Francis Ngannou is aiming for a heavyweight clash against Tyson Fury and the P4P king Kamaru Usman has his eyes set on Canelo Alvarez.

Kamaru Usman and his manager Ali Abdelaziz have been campaigning for a boxing fight against the current pound-for-pound number 1 boxer in the world.

However, UFC's rising star Khamzat Chimaev has no interest in trying his luck inside the boxing ring against a world champion such as Canelo Alvarez.

In a recent podcast with Henry Cejudo and The Shchmo, Chimaev talked about a potential fight with Alvarez.

"I think I’m the best in the world, but I can’t say I can beat (Canelo) in boxing because I’m not a stupid guy. The guy all his life did boxing, he knocked out – he killed so many good guys.

However, Khamzat Chimaev is confident that he can demolish Canelo Alvarez in an MMA fight.

Khamzat Chimaev claimed: " If he comes to my game, if Canelo comes to the UFC and fights with me, I can take 10 seconds and let him sleep. The guy never did wrestling, grappling, ground-and-pound, these things. You can’t do it."

The unbeaten UFC welterweight, Khamzat Chimaev is certainly on his way to a title shot against Kamaru Usman.

And it won't be surprising if Chimaev moves up to middleweight to become a two-division champion in UFC.

But, whether he would give boxing a serious thought if he becomes a two-division UFC champion is something the fans will have to wait to find out.
